What is a docent?

Looking for a volunteer opportunity that celebrates your favorite things? How about being a Docent? Museums, zoos, galleries, and other venues in the Los Angeles area, across the nation, and around the world feature Docents to help them connect to visitors and contribute their knowledge to the public. You’ll get to show off your knowledge, be social and connect to new people every day, have a reason to be out in the world and productive, and most of all, have fun!
