Tattoo: The exhibition at NHM

Now through April 15, enjoy a beautiful exhibition that spans 5,000 years. Tattoo offers insight into ancient and modern tattoo practices, techniques and meaning. The art is gorgeous and the attention to detail and story telling in beyond compare. The exhibit features more than 230 images and objects, ranging from historical artifacts to intricate contemporary designs tattooed onto silicone models of the human body. After 5,000 years, tattoo flourishes in riotous variety, and has moved off the skin to influence other art forms, fashion, product design, and beyond. This special exhibit will be held at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles.
