LACMA’s new building design gets funding

May 27th, 2019

The Los Angeles Art Scene is always moving forward. LACMA has set its sights on some big changes with the help of LA County Supervisors with a little help from Brad Pitt. They awarded $11.5 million to the redesign of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The new design is the dream of award-winning architect Peter Zumthor. It’s an elongated horizontal design with raised columns. It’s somewhat futuristic with an organic silhouette. Large floor to ceiling windows will add to the design’s alluring appeal. Stay tuned for more progress on LACMA!
