Jasper Johns at The Broad: FEB 10-MAY 13
January 24th, 2018
American painter Jasper Johns made technique just as important as the art itself. He was a major influence in twentieth century art and still inspires artists today. He embraced a wide variety of mediums including heated beeswax and found object collage. Check out this exciting exhibition, “Something Resembling Truth” at the ever-popular Broad in Los Angeles. It showcases the evolution of Jasper’s work over six decades. Each artist takes a truly organic journey in the breadth of work over time. It’s fun to see the twists in turns in their subject matter and mediums. There will be over 100 of Jasper’s unique paintings, sculptures, drawings, and prints on display from February 10-May 13.
