WORD UP: types of creative writing to try
January 7th, 2022
A picture is worth a thousand words. And words come in almost a thousand creative forms. Thinking about becoming a creative writer? There are tons of choices out there to appeal to your specific interests. If you love everything literary, you’ll have plenty of forms to try. There’s poetry, novel-writing, article writing, op-ed writing, and the list goes on and on. At NoHo Senior Arts Colony, we’ve got a very inspiring community to help you stay motivated and productive. If you are interested in marketing, there’s also a wide array of writing pursuits. Writing blogs and social media content is very popular. There’s also copywriting where you can write copy for websites, brochures, and more. Often this can be done freelance or remotely. But did you know you probably do a lot of writing already? If you enjoy writing or in your journal or do gratitude lists, that’s also writing. Whatever form of writing you choose, make sure it’s something you love and you’ll never be at a loss for words.
