The love of reading: Best romantic books

February 12th, 2021

Tis the season of love and what better way to celebrate than to read some of the best books about love ever written. We found a perfect list to get you started which includes one of the all-time best books, Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice. The courtship between Mr. Darcy and Miss Elizabeth never gets old. There have also been two movies based on this book. The BBC version is by far the best! If you ask us, Colin Firth is original and one and only Mr. Darcy. Other books on this timeless list include Outlander, Jane Eyre, Gone With The Wind, Sense and Sensibility, The Notebook (which has also been made into an incredible movie starring Rylan Gossling), The Princess Bride, and many more. There are also wonderful movies about the love between friends such as Shawshank Redemption, Steel Magnolias, Stand by Me, Beaches, About Schmidt, The Big Chill, and Fried Green Tomatoes (based on the book written by comedian Fannie Flag.)
