California Art Club’s Gold Medal Exhibition: NOW through April 24
April 12th, 2016
The art scene in Southern California is definitely prolific and thriving. Now until April 24, enjoy the 105th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition at the Autry Museum of the American West presented by the California Art Club. Get inspired by more than 200 contemporary-traditional fine art paintings and sculpture that pays tribute to the pioneering artists who founded the organization. This is a tremendous show that spotlights California Impressionism.
The Autry was voted “Favorite Museum” by Los Angeles Daily News Readers in 2014 and 2015. Discover the art, history, and cultures of the American West! Located in beautiful Griffith Park, the Autry features world-class galleries filled with Native American art and artifacts, film memorabilia, historic firearms, paintings, and more. Throughout the year, the Autry also presents a wide range of public events and programs—including lectures, film, theater, festivals, family activities, and music—and performs scholarship, research, and educational outreach. The Autry’s collection of more than 500,000 pieces of art and artifacts includes the Southwest Museum of the American Indian Collection, one of the largest and most significant collections of Native American materials in the United States.
