Annual Topanga Days Country Fair: MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

May 26th, 2016

Attention hippies and hippies at heart! It’s the 43rd year for this popular local festival! Festivities embody a music lover’s way of life, welcoming new listeners and paying homage to the roots of Topanga’s musical history.  There’s a belly dancing show by a local teacher, pie eating contests, kids games and so much more. The festival draws upwards of 10,000 people of all ages from all over the county to listen to great music, buy crafts, clothes and eat a variety of foods. The unique Memorial Day Parade along Route 27 (Topanga Canyon Blvd.) is a highlight for many, and ends at the entrance of the Community House. The Boulevard is closed in both directions from 8am till noon on that day, so that the community can enjoy the parade safely. This parade is one of the last of its kind, where costumed neighbors toss candy from their homemade floats, kids decorate and ride their bikes or horses, or participants simply walk down the boulevard with the Boy Scouts or the local Tae Kwon Do class. The weekend festival is takes place May 28-30 and is located at The Topanga Community House, 1440 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd., Topanga, CA 90290. Be sure to get your tickets! Topanga is always a beautiful area to enjoy nature walks and hiking.
